Shakopee lost to New Prague back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Sabers came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 6-3.

Shane Kettler and Ethan Sauer dominated on the mound. Kettler pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits, while Sauer pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ethan Krosch, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Shakopee's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for New Prague, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shakopee will take on Rosemount at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for New Prague, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Orono at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
