 The Longview Lobos are on the road again  on Tuesday and plays the Crandall Pirates at 7:00  p.m.  on February 27th. Both teams come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Longview had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They escaped with a win on Friday against Melissa by the margin of a single free throw,  47-46. Given Longview's advantage  in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings  (they are ranked 74th, while Melissa is ranked 262nd), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Longview got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Chris Head out in front who  scored 13 points along with two  steals. Head is on a roll when it comes to  steals, as he's  now  grabbed two or more in the last four games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Da'Morrion Williams, who  scored 11 points.
 Meanwhile, Crandall entered their tilt with Lufkin with four consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with five. Crandall took down Lufkin 62-47  on Friday.
 Longview's victory bumped their record up to 31-4. As for Crandall, they pushed their record up to 20-15 with that  victory, which was their third straight  at home.
 Longview was able to grind out a solid  victory over Crandall in their previous meeting  back in February of 2023, winning  48-40. Does  Longview have another victory up their sleeve, or will Crandall turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
