Lorena has gone a perfect 9-0 against La Vega recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lorena Leopards will head out on the road to square off against the La Vega Pirates at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lorena comes in on 11 and La Vega on three.

Lorena's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over Meyer. Considering the Leopards have won seven contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, La Vega hadn't done well against China Spring recently (they were 1-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. La Vega narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past China Spring 2-1. The game was the first time the Pirates have beaten the Cougars on their pitch since February 21, 2020.

Lorena's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those seven games. As for La Vega, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Lorena took their win against La Vega in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lorena since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
