Baseball Recap: Mountain Heritage Comes Up Short

Mountain Heritage easily dispatched Owen last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Mountain Heritage fell just short of the Madison Patriots by a score of 8-6 on Tuesday. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Caden Carrol made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Mountain Heritage's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-5. As for Madison, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mountain Heritage beat Madison by a score of 7-6 on Friday.
