Volleyball Recap: Cherokee Trail Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Cherokee Trail and Ralston Valley squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Cherokee Trail had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Mustangs. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 20-25, 25-20, 25-13.

Ella Notheisen paced Cherokee Trail's offense, picking up 11 kills. Notheisen got some help from Avery Krause and her 37 assists. Krause and Notheisen didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.

Cherokee Trail's defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 15-9. As for Ralston Valley, they pushed their record up to 21-4 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Cherokee Trail does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ralston Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Dakota Ridge on the 11th.
