Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Homeschool Comes Up Short

Trinity Christian Homeschool was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt an 85-47 defeat at the hands of the Brooklane Baptist Eagles. Sadly, that's the fourth time they've come up short against Trinity Christian Homeschool this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 91-71 back in December of 2024.

Trinity Christian Homeschool's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hartley Cook, who posted 19 points. Cook's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Levi Syx, who put up 16 points and five rebounds.

Trinity Christian Homeschool's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Brooklane Baptist, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Trinity Christian Homeschool will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Master's Hand Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. Master's Hand Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.5 points per game this season. As for Brooklane Baptist, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 97-37 win against New Life Christian Academy on the 27th.
