It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kearney can now relate to. They came up short against the Elkhorn South Storm on Friday, falling 10-2. The Bearcats' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Kearney saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Bosshamer, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Kearney's defeat dropped their record down to 22-10. As for Elkhorn South, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.
