Soccer Recap: Hempstead Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Hempstead was not quite New Waverly's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the New Waverly Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Hempstead's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for New Waverly, they pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Hempstead challenge the Sealy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Sealy will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Hempstead surely won't give up without a fight. As for New Waverly, they will take on Royal at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
