Soccer Game Preview: R-S Central vs. East Henderson

The R-S Central Hilltoppers will take on the East Henderson Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. R-S Central will be strutting in after a win while East Henderson will be coming in after a defeat.

R-S Central's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Draughn 3-0.

R-S Central hit Draughn with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Reigh Duncan, Natalie Shearer, and Olive Gosnell.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for East Henderson's offense. They fell just short of Swain County by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The victory got R-S Central back to even at 1-1. As for East Henderson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went R-S Central's way against East Henderson in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, as R-S Central made off with an 8-2 win. In that contest, R-S Central amassed a halftime lead of 6-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
