Soccer Game Preview: Serrano vs. Granite Hills

Serrano is 1-6 against Granite Hills since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Serrano Diamondbacks will host the Granite Hills Cougars at 3:00 p.m.

Serrano fell victim to Victor Valley and their airtight defense on Saturday. They fell just short of the Jackrabbits by a score of 1-0. The Diamondbacks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Granite Hills kept a clean sheet against Temecula Valley on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 4-0 margin over the Golden Bears. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by exactly four goals.

They hit Temecula Valley with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Oscar Mendoza (2), Acxel Jimenez, and Angel Gomez.

Serrano's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Granite Hills, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1-1.

Serrano came out on top in a nail-biter against Granite Hills in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, sneaking past 3-2. Will Serrano repeat their success, or does Granite Hills have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
