Basketball Recap: Williamson Takes a Loss

Williamson lost against Sayre back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Williamson Warriors had to suffer through a 75-32 loss at the hands of the Sayre Redskins. The Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Hudson Trump continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Sayre, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 13 rebounds. Trump is becoming a predictor of Sayre's success: when he posts at least 15 points the team is 12-5 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Nick Pellicano was another key player, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 boards.

Williamson's record is now 2-16. As for Sayre, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 13-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Williamson will take on Galeton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sayre, they will challenge Cowanesque Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sayre is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.8 points per game this season.
