Softball Recap: L Baker's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hamilton Township over Fairfield Union

After flying high against Whitehall-Yearling on Thursday, Hamilton Township came back down to earth. The Rangers wound up with the same score they had in their last game (14-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-2 last Wednesday.

Hamilton Township saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was L Baker, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Hamilton Township has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. As for Fairfield Union, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-14.

Looking ahead, Hamilton Township will take on Lincoln at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Fairfield Union, they will take on Gallia Academy in a tournament on Wednesday.
