Baseball Recap: North Fork Victorious

North Fork proved they can win big last Friday (they won by seven) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Olathe Pirates 6-5. This was a revenge game for the Miners: when they faced off against the Pirates back in March, they had to take a 5-4 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Bronson Hall, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Joe Hollembeak, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

North Fork's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Olathe, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

Coming up, North Fork will square off against Rangely at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Olathe, they will face off against Basalt at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
