Football Recap: ALA - Mesa North Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After soaring to 35 points the game before, ALA - Mesa North was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were beaten by the Gilbert Christian Knights 35-6. The loss put an end to the Mavericks' undefeated start to the season.

Crew Germaine threw for 139 yards on 15 of 24 attempts. Seth Allen was his top target, picking up 71 receiving yards.

Gilbert Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Malachi Ahlman led the charge by picking up 153 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Ahlman got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 86 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamari Stanbury, who gained 124 total yards and two touchdowns.

Having lost for the first time this season, ALA - Mesa North fell to 2-1. As for Gilbert Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.
