Softball Game Preview: Strath Haven Panthers vs. Penncrest Lions

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Strath Haven Panthers face off against Penncrest Lions at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Penncrest took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Strath Haven, who comes in off a win.

Strath Haven's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Penn Wood 15-0. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Penncrest's offense. They lost 12-0 to Marple Newtown on Wednesday. The loss put an end to the Lions' undefeated start to the season.

Strath Haven's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Penncrest, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
