Softball Recap: Campbell vs. Oyster River Bobcats
Campbell had lost three straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 2-4 to make it four. They fell just short of the Oyster River Bobcats by a score of 4-3. Campbell was not able to make up for their defeat to Oyster River from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.
As for Oyster River, their record is now 3-1-1. The four-run effort marked their lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
For Oyster River's part, the team relied heavily on Kaiya Mercier, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Laura Boughton was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Campbell will host Bow at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
