Baseball Game Preview: Greenwood Eagles vs. Easley Green Wave

The Greenwood Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Easley Green Wave at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither Greenwood nor Easley posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Greenwood fell victim to J.L. Mann and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Easley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against T.L. Hanna, falling 10-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Green Wave have suffered against the Yellow Jackets since March 19, 2018.

Easley's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Greenwood, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Greenwood was able to grind out a solid victory over Easley when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 5-1. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Green Wave have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
