Volleyball Game Preview: Midlothian Trojans vs. James River Midlothian Rapids

The Midlothian Trojans will square off against the James River Midlothian Rapids at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Midlothian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Virginia's top teams: Atlee, who was ranked 15th at the time (Midlothian was ranked second). The Trojans fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Trojans' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, James River Midlothian beat Atlee 3-1 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rapids.

James River Midlothian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-19.

James River Midlothian now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Midlothian, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2.

Midlothian took their win against James River Midlothian in their previous meeting back in August by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Rapids have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
