Volleyball Recap: Syracuse Titans vs. Lone Peak Knights
Syracuse unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to the Lone Peak Knights on Tuesday. The Titans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.
Syracuse started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-16, 25-17, 25-21.
Despite the loss, Syracuse saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Carly Decker had eight digs and three assists.
Looking ahead, Syracuse will take on Woods Cross at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lone Peak, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Bountiful at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
