Basketball Recap: Waurika Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Waurika entered their match against Wilson on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Waurika Eagles came up short against the Wilson Eagles, falling 53-27. Waurika was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Wilson apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Waurika's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-4. As for Wilson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Waurika will face off against Verden at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wilson has already played their next game, a 46-28 win against Roff on the 8th.
