Basketball Recap: Desert Edge Comes Up Short

Desert Edge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a blow against the Rancho Solano Prep Mustangs, falling 74-29. The game marked the Scorpions' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Desert Edge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Rancho Solano Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Desert Edge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 69-58 victory against Westwood on the 30th. As for Rancho Solano Prep, they will head out on the road to square off against Seabury Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Rancho Solano Prep's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.
