After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Hopkins, Como-Pickton was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Avery Bulldogs. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.

Como-Pickton walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-11, 25-17.

Como-Pickton's win bumped their record up to 23-11. As for Avery, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-14.

Looking ahead, Como-Pickton will venture away from home to challenge Fruitvale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Avery, they will take on Union Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give Avery their first taste of in-conference action this season.
