Softball Recap: Bradford Wins Going Away Against Buchholz

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Union County, Bradford was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Buchholz Bobcats with a sharp 14-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Tornadoes, who have now won four matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Bradford got a massive performance out of Keegan Yowell, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave Yowell a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Regan Adams, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and five RBI.

Bradford was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .469. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .469 or higher in four consecutive contests.

The victory got Bradford back to even at 5-5. As for Buchholz, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bradford will take on Bishop Snyder at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Buchholz, they will venture away from home to square off against Rickards at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
