Football Recap: Shenandoah Raiders vs. Bluffton Tigers
Shenandoah unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Bluffton Tigers by a score of 29-27 on Friday.
Despite the loss, Shenandoah still got an impressive performance from Jarrett Helman, who threw for 252 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 75 yards and one score. The Raiders' leading receiver Blayne Stevens was Helman's top target yet again, picking up 83 receiving yards and one TD.
Looking ahead, Shenandoah is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge South Decatur at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bluffton, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Manchester at 7:00 p.m.
