Belfry barely beat Shelby Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pirates' pitchers stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 7-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by seven runs or more this season.

Belfry has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Shelby Valley, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-16.

Belfry wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-4 victory against Knott County Central on the 15th.
