Mascoutah is 8-1 against Collinsville since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Indians will welcome the Kahoks at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mascoutah has four straight wins, Collinsville has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

If Mascoutah beats Collinsville with ten runs on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Indians didn't even let Edwardsville on the board on Tuesday, marking the Indians' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won four matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Collinsville lost 18-5 to Hernando on Saturday.

Carter Harrington was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Elijah Clay was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Mascoutah pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Collinsville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
