Baseball Game Preview: Humble Wildcats vs. Kingwood Mustangs

Humble hasn't had much luck against Kingwood recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wildcats will look to defend their home field against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Humble has given up an average of 7.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Humble is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They lost 14-1 to Goose Creek Memorial.

Meanwhile, Kingwood had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bulldogs an 11-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Kingwood's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 26-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Humble, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-19-1.
