Preview: Bothell vs. Issaquah

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Bothell. They will challenge Issaquah on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Bothell don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.

Last Thursday, Bothell put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. They blew past Inglemoor 38-14. Senior Erik Bainter was the offensive standout of the match for Bothell, as he passed for 257 yards and 3 touchdowns. If you haven't heard Bainter's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past five games.

Meanwhile, Issaquah have been struggling to pick up a victory, with their contest against Skyline making it three winless games in a row. Issaquah were dealt a punishing 0-41 defeat at the hands of Skyline. Issaquah were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-27.

Everything went Bothell's way against Issaquah the last time the two teams met as they made off with a 41-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bothell since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
