Volleyball Game Preview: Union County Yellowjackets vs. Mountain View Prep Stars

Union County hasn't had much luck against Mountain View Prep recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Stars at 6:00 p.m. Mountain View Prep took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Union County, who comes in off a win.

Union County took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Woodruff.

Union County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Mountain View Prep faced Lucy Beckham in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Stars fell just short of the Bengals by a score of 2-1.

Union County now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Mountain View Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-2.
