Meanwhile, Highland Park lost to Bovina on the road by a 36-20 margin on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now lost five in a row.

Quanah's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-4. As for Highland Park, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
