Volleyball Recap: Seward Falls Despite Big Games from Rilynn Hiser and Faith Hibbert

Seward was the 3-1 winner over Aurora when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Bluejays took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huskies on Saturday. The Bluejays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Seward was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20.

Despite the defeat, Seward had strong showings from Faith Hibbert, who had four digs and two aces, and Rilynn Hiser, who had five digs and two aces.

Seward's loss dropped their record down to 17-13. As for Aurora, their victory bumped their record up to 19-11.

Coming up, Seward is taking a road trip to face off against Ashland-Greenwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Aurora, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Lexington.
