After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Swain County, Highlands was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Blue Ridge Early College Bobcats 9-1. It was an even better day for Gabriela Diaz Martinez as she scored five goals for her team.

Highlands now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Blue Ridge Early College, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
