Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Palatka). They never let the Crescent City Raiders get on the board and left with a 27-0 victory on Monday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by eight runs or more this season.
Charla Griffin looked comfortable as she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
At the plate, Zophia Clark was a standout: she went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emma Hansford, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
