Baseball Recap: Crestwood Red Devils vs. Wickliffe Blue Devils

After flying high against Beachwood last Saturday, Crestwood came back down to earth. The Crestwood Red Devils fell 6-3 to the Wickliffe Blue Devils on Monday. Crestwood was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Wickliffe apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2018.

Crestwood saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Shelhamer, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Shelhamer has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Januska, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
