Baseball Recap: Southeast Comes Up Short

Southeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 14-1 to the Putnam City West Patriots.

Southeast's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Putnam City West, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeast will be taking part in a tournament against Putnam City at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Putnam City West, they will venture away from home to challenge Harding Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Harding Prep has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.1 runs per game on average), something Putnam City West will no doubt try to take advantage of.
