Volleyball Recap: California Takes a Loss

California was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Bell Gardens Lancers. The Condors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

While California ultimately came up short, they really made Bell Gardens work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-14, 19-25, 25-20.

California's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Bell Gardens, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. California will square off against Cerritos at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bell Gardens, they will welcome South El Monte at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
