Basketball Game Preview: Irondale Knights vs. Forest Lake Rangers

Irondale hasn't had much luck against Forest Lake recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Irondale Knights will challenge the Forest Lake Rangers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Irondale was beaten by East Ridge 62-17. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while the Raptors are ranked 56th).

Meanwhile, Forest Lake scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took an 84-80 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mounds View. The Rangers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Forest Lake's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Irondale, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Irondale might still be hurting after the 75-50 loss they got from Forest Lake in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Irondale avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
