Volleyball Recap: Sterling Golden Warriors vs. Rock Island Rocks
Sterling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell just short of the Rock Island Rocks by a score of 2-1. Rock Island can attribute much of their success to Maddie Carroll, who had 20 digs. Izzy Adner was another key player, getting 13 digs.
Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9-4. As for Rock Island, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12.
Sterling will head out to square off against Galesburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rock Island has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Bettendorf on the 12th.
