Softball Game Preview: Victoria East Titans vs. Fort Bend Kempner Cougars

The Victoria East Titans will face off against the Fort Bend Kempner Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Victoria East is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Lamar Consolidated just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 6-5.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Fort Bend Kempner faced off against Randle on Tuesday. The Cougars came up short against the Lions, falling 17-2. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Sydney Hatch was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

Victoria East's loss dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Fort Bend Kempner, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.
