Softball Recap: Sierra Pacific Extends Winning Streak to Three

Sierra Pacific waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Washington Union Panthers 18-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-4 back in April.

Haidyn Cota was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Cota was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Sierra Pacific got a massive performance out of Brooklyn Webb, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. Another player making a difference was Miranda Reyes, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Sierra Pacific was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .516. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive contests.

Sierra Pacific's record is now 14-10. As for Washington Union, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.

Sierra Pacific has already played their next game, a 9-2 defeat against Immanuel on the 6th. As for Washington Union, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 14-2 victory against Central Valley Christian on the 6th.
