Basketball Recap: Borrego Springs Takes a Loss

Borrego Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Warner Wildcats, falling 72-5. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-2.

Travis Asche was Borrego Springs' leading scorer, having posted five points. Alan Rodriguez-Osuna held things down on the boards with five rebounds.

Warner got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Antonio Amado out in front who went 10 for 13 en route to 20 points and seven boards. Anthony Porras was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Borrego Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Warner, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-5.

Borrego Springs has already played their next matchup, a 46-24 loss against West Shores on the 4th. As for Warner, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 69-43 victory against Julian on the 3rd.
