Volleyball Recap: Lake Norman Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lake Norman lost against Davie County back in September of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the War Eagles. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Madeline Darnell paced Lake Norman's offense, picking up 14 kills. Darnell got some help from Alayna Lefebvre and her 36 assists. Alexis Ramsey and Maya Forrai kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Lake Norman's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Davie County, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6.

Lake Norman and Davie County could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Wildcats (ranked 219th) will meet Pine Lake Prep (ranked ninth) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Davie County will square off against North Iredell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (109 vs. 25).
