Baseball Game Preview: Ridgeview Wolf Pack vs. Independence Falcons

For the second straight game, Ridgeview will face off against Independence. The Wolf Pack will be playing at home against the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Ridgeview headed into their last match having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but Independence let them put that streak behind them. The Wolf Pack were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Falcons on Monday. The Wolf Pack haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Ben Castro made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Castro was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Ridgeview let Martin Castro and Adrian Sanchez run wild. Castro scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Sanchez scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Those two runs gave Sanchez a new career-high. Keisyun Allen was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base.

Independence is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6. As for Ridgeview, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-6.
