Softball Recap: Bellevue Christian Vikings vs. Interlake Saints

Bellevue Christian scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Monday. Everything went their way against the Interlake Saints as the Bellevue Christian Vikings made off with a 17-1 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Bellevue Christian considering their two-run performance the match before.

Jelly Davies made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Davies was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four RBI and a double.

In other batting news, Isabella (Izzy) Rockey was incredible, scoring five runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Simone Loving-Williams, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

On Interlake's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis Gomez, who went 1-for-2 with a triple and a run.

Bellevue Christian's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7. As for Interlake, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15.

Bellevue Christian will be playing at home against Chimacum at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Interlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
