Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Arlington's Tenth in Last 11 Outings

Arlington put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Martin Warriors. For the Colts, this counts as revenge for the 4-1 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The result came thanks to Danny Bustamante's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Arlington is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 10-11 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jeremiah Taylor, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

Arlington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.2 runs over those games. As for Martin, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-16-1.

Arlington will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
