Softball Recap: Edison Spartans vs. Dryden Lions
While Edison put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Dryden. The Spartans were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over the Lions. The Spartans have beaten the Lions the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lions has come to flipping the script.

Kailey Ripley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Edison got a big performance out of Maycie Bennett, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. What's more, Bennett posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Emily Aiello was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Edison's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
Edison and Dryden will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Spartans are set to challenge their familiar foe Notre Dame at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Dryden will square off against rival Lansing at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
