Football Recap: Forks Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Forks extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-8. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 20-15 heartbreaker at the hands of the Napavine Tigers. The Spartans lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 54-10 score last time.

Lane Helvey threw for 150 yards on nine of 18 attempts. Estevan Ramos was his top target, picking up 52 receiving yards. On the ground, Kade Highfield rushed for 38 yards and one TD.

As for Napavine, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-4. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.3 points over those games.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Caleb VonPressentin and Dean Hamilton. VonPressentin rushed for 162 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry while Hamilton rushed for 165 yards and one score on only 14 carries.

As of now, neither Forks nor Napavine have any future games scheduled.
