The Sequoyah Chiefs suffered a  tough 14-1 loss at the hands of the McMinn Central Chargers  on Thursday. Sequoyah was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as McMinn Central apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in March.
 Sequoyah saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Josh Britton, who  went 1-for-3 with a  double.
 Sequoyah has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record  this season. As for McMinn Central,  the  victory  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 6-11.
 Sequoyah will be playing at home against Polk County at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Polk County is coming into the  match with three straight  losses on the road,  meaning Sequoyah will have to defend against a  team hungry for a  win. As for McMinn Central, they will  challenge Pigeon Forge at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
