Softball Game Preview: Holgate Tigers vs. Miller City Wildcats

Holgate hasn't had much luck against Miller City recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Saturday. Holgate fell just short of Liberty Center by a score of 8-7.

Mia Kelly was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Lyndee Palte also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Miller City came up short against Van Wert on Thursday and fell 7-2.

Miller City saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Ruhe, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Miller City's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Holgate, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
