Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Mecklenburg). They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Butler Bulldogs on Wednesday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering South Mecklenburg's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Butler are ranked 255th).

South Mecklenburg has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those five matches. As for Butler, they dropped their record down to 5-15-2 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

As of now, neither South Mecklenburg nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
